Your First Appointment

When you come to your first appointment, please bring the following things:

• Your referral letter from your GP, family doctor or medical specialist.
• Medical card, DVA card, Pension Card.
• Your Private Hospital Insurance Fund information.
• Any imaging or medical reports you have including X-rays, MRIs or CT scans.

To save time, fill out our online New Patient Registration Form. If you’re unable to complete this form please arrive fifteen minutes early to complete this form prior to your appointment.

Costs & Fees

The cost of your first consultation with Mr Barnes is $200. Be sure to check with your Private Health Insurer to see what part of this consultation fee they will cover.

Your first follow up appointment after surgery is complimentary and each subsequent review will incur a cost of $100.

Pre & Post Operative Care

Mr Barnes is always looking to improve patient care, rehabilitation and the recovery process. Recently partnering with MyRecovery, a personalised support program can be created for each patient which guides them through their journey both before and after surgery. Accessed easily through the MyRecovery App, patients can access their rehabilitation program at any time or any place. 

Each personalised program will consist of video messages from Mr Barnes, pre and post-operative care information, advice, goals and tracking of your progress. There is also pre-operative information to help patients prepare for their hospital stay.
